WAN Foundation is a non-political, local Non-Governmental Organisation duly registered and working in Kenya. Started in 2018 by volunteers with a passion to transform the lives of the communities through their wealth of experience in various disciplines, WAN Foundation has over the past few years expanded its reach. It brings together combined experiences and skills of its founders, Wilberfoce Nduku, Mildred Ichingwa and Sheldon Opiri.

The foundation supports community-driven development initiatives to promote the sustainable development of communities through social investment, resource mobilization, endowment building and grant-
making.

Our constant interaction with different communities brought us to understand the critical role of these communities in community development and management of natural resource. As a result, we initiated projects that are linked to community development

Our aim is to develop partnerships and deliver services that facilitate the achievement of our clients’ strategies and objectives in the quest for sustainable development within the spheres of economic growth, democratic space, environmental context and gender inclusion, with great passion for ensuring the achievement of the “bottom line” of each agenda and impact at the grassroots level.

Our motto is “making a difference.” We aim to make a lasting difference in the organisation and ultimately in the communities and in the regions we serve.

Objective

WAN Foundation's primary goal is to capitalize on communities’ energy, development objectives, and collaborative actions to establish sustainable development projects.

Our objective is to ensure the success of projects and communities through strategic planning, efficient use of allocated resources, and sustainable organizational and institutional development to achieve our goals and improve livelihoods for the community we serve.
